One Lonely Voice ©2020 Stephen A Schuster

One lonely voice can make a difference
One lonely voice can change the world
We don’t have no choice
We can raise our only voice
To rejoice in the power we deserve

One lonely voice can go the distance
One lonely voice can still be heard
We don’t have no choice
We can raise our only voice
Till we join behind power of our word

One lonely voice is our resistance
One lonely voice won’t be deterred
We don’t have no choice
We can raise our only voice
The noise that we make will make us cured

Scream out
One voice in place of violence
When we shout
Our voices break the silence

One lonely voice can make a difference
One lonely voice can change the world
We don’t have no choice
We can raise our only voice
To rejoice in the power we deserve
To rejoice in the power we deserve
We rejoice in the power we deserve!

This song came very quickly, inspired by Senator John McCain's iconic and history-making thumbs down, ending the U.S. Senates bid to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare).

Like most liberals, I was moved by the power of McCain's conviction, voice and action for what he felt was right and just. As he stood in center of the Senate chamber, he was a lone wolf who knew what to do.

The phrase "One lonely voice can make a difference" came to me immediately and the song flowed from there.

In November 2018, One Lonely Voice was covered by The Reggulators, a UK reggae band fronted by singer Jeff Freeman. The single resulted in a music video and radio air play in London.
